Teen Jamie Davis

Area II Treasurer

Isaiah 54:17. “Because it is God telling me that no weapon formed against me from any of my enemies will prosper or hurt me”.

Teen Jamie Davis has held a total of eight TTA positions at the Chapter, Area and National level.   She currently serves as the Chapter President, Area II Treasurer, and the National NAACP Chair.  Teen Jamie is a Junior at Southern Maryland Christian Academy in White Plains, Maryland. She is the Vice President of the Student Government Association (SGA) and a member of the National Honor Society (NHS).

One of Teen Jamie’s most outstanding achievements is hosting the very first TTA National Town Hall, “Let Our Voices Be Heard” in June 2020. The town hall was based on how COVID-19 has impacted students worldwide along with the racial inequities’ students face, on a daily basis.  It was highly successful, sparking more of an interest and leading her to participate in other town halls. Other achievements include winning 2nd place at SynLod for her essay HBCU vs. PWIs.  She was a member of the 1st Place Debate Team, “Team Deuce”.

Teen Jamie knows she can make an impact in many people’s lives and has accomplished much at her young age.  She is a strong and passionate leader who leads by example.   Her favorite quote is “Success isn't about how much money you make, it’s about the difference that you make in people's lives” -Michele Obama.

Teen D’Shaun is a senior at Maurice J. McDonough High School in Pomfret, Maryland and attends Robert D. Stethem Educational Center’s Academy of Health Professions.  He serves as his Chapter’s 2nd Vice President and is the former Community Beautification and Membership Committee Chair.   After high school, Teen D’Shaun plans to pursue an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience for a career in Medicine.

He has participated in SkillsUSA, is a National Voting Delegate for Maryland, and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society, and National Honor Society.  He is the Parliamentarian of SkillsUSA.

Teen D’Shaun is a great student with many achievements.  He has won awards such as the Advanced Medicine & Health Care certificate, Most Improved Mathematics Award,  Award of Excellence for Science and maintains Principal’s Honor Roll.  Teen D’shaun has received a Certificate for Leadership in Watershed Advocacy, Maryland General Assembly Official Citation for Watershed Advocacy, “Stop The Bleed” Certificate from R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and a National Technical Honor Society Membership Certificate.  His civic duties include Dreams to Soar, Maurice J. McDonough Mulch Sale, CSM Student Ambassador for CTE Expo and Health Fair at Charles County Board of Education.

Teen D’Shaun has greatly impacted his community and the lives of others for the better, achieving many great things even at such a young age.
